Preparing for your Expedition

You are embarking on an adventure in a place and amongst people whose lives are very different from your own. Many aspects of life in PNG will seem unusual. Remember that these are often the same aspects that make an area an exotic and attractive destination.

The very fact that you have booked an expedition, or are planning too indicates that you are keen to take on the challenge that is the Kokoda Track. Preparing for your expedition starts now. Walking often is good, but you need to walk up and down steep slopes as that is what you will be doing day after day on the Kokoda Track. Look through this website in all sections and please take note of the advice provided.
