Australian Led Kokoda Expeditions
The Kokoda Track has become a pilgrimage for many Australians to witness what their forefathers endured during WWII, in what is a living museum. 2012 represents the 70th Anniversary of the Kokoda campaign. We are running selected trips that coincide with various battles across the Track including Kokoda, Deniki, Isurava and Brigade Hill. No Roads Expeditions offers guided Kokoda Track expeditions which can be booked for any week of the year. We also have scheduled departures that anyone is welcome to join. All food, equipment and guides (including an Australian guide) are provided. You only need to bring your personal gear and bedding. In the Australian-led trips you will be guided by a trained and informative Australian Guide who will look after all your trekking needs as well as give you an oral history of the Track. |

Kokoda Schools Expeditions
The Kokoda Trail is a significant part of Australia's history. It is an integral part of our National Identity. Our role in the League of Nations prior to the WWII and the part we played in the ultimate defeat of Imperial Japan has shaped how we see ourselves and how the world perceived us in its aftermath. As such, walking the Kokoda Trail is an experiential activity that enables students to actually feel what Australian soldiers endured during the campaign and places them and the events that unfolded into a real context. Australia and its place in the world is deeply understood by students and teachers alike. By placing students on the Track, students will not only learn about history but will start to understand themselves on a level that is difficult to simulate any other way. No Roads Expeditions has taken many students across the Kokoda Trail. We understand the needs of the students as well as the needs of the schools and the parents that send them. Some schools that we have taken across the Kokoda Track include Patterson River Secondary College, Carnegie School, Griffith Secondary College, Benalla College, Caloundra College, Xavier College and more. |

Short Kokoda Expeditions
This abridged Kokoda Expedition will take you to the site of one of the bloodiest and for many most important battlefields along the Kokoda Track, Isurava. This expedition gives those that have limited time or fitness an opportunity to see what the Kokoda Track is all about. Our expedition will fly to the Track's namesake, Kokoda, where we will see and feel what went on in this small village. From there we will trek to Deniki that overlooks the Yodda Valley and down to Kokoda village itself. From there we will trek to Isurava where we will spend the night before returning to Kokoda the same way. |

Team Building Kokoda Expeditions
The Kokoda Track is an ideal environment for Sporting Club and Corporate Team Building. Its rugged terrain will test partcipants physically and mentally and its close relationship with Australian History (in particular Military history) will place it in a context all participants can relate to. No Roads Expeditions can formulate an ideal itinerary that suits your needs. |

Private Expeditions - Minimum 12 People
We are able to organize private expeditions for those that want familiar people to join them or our scheduled departures don’t suit. If you would like to go on a particular day, we can arrange a charter flight direct to Kokoda or we could go on the daily flight to Popondetta. Another alternative is to begin the expedition from Owers' Corner and end the trek in either Kokoda or Popondetta. Note: For those unable to take 2 weeks off work, we advise you to start your Kokoda expedition on the Friday. This way you will only need to take 1 week and 1 day off. |
